Aneesa Muhammad

Aneesa Muhammad started her dance journey at M.A.D.D. Rhythms at the age of 2 years old. In addition to tap dance, Aneesa also studies ballet, contemporary dance, African, jazz and has studied dance styles that include, modern, hip hop and Latin. From the age of 9 until 14 years old, she studied and danced with the pre professional company at Chicago Multi Cultural Dance Center (CMDC) then studied at the Hyde Park School of Dance (HPSD) until she was 18, completing her time there in their Advanced Ballet Company. She also worked as an assistant teacher and teacher trainee during her time at HPSD. Aneesa also participated in several seasons of After School Matters as a dancer with Forward Momentum Chicago (FMC).
 
In addition to her training and regular performances with M.A.D.D. Rhythms, the Hyde Park School of Dance and Forward Momentum Chicago, Aneesa has participated in musical theatre playing the role of Timon in her dance school’s production of The Lion King. She was also an understudy in the production of Aida at the Chicago Lyric Opera House. Aneesa’s goal is to become a professional dancer, a physical therapist and continue to learn, experience and grow.
